I feel like its been forever since my last blog post. It's been a busy holidays with tons of family and friends time that I don't even know where to start. Plus, our extension cord at home blew up coz we hooked up the portable heater there on top of all the things hooked there for our computer that's why I haven't been able to make an entry but let me start the year with this really cute entry about dogs. haha!

Charlie overload. So cute! |
Growing up, we've always had dogs in our household. I might miss some of them but as far as I remember we had Doogie (i think he was named after the show Dougie Hauser M.D. by Neil Patrick Harris. lol), we had Blackie (typical Filipino dog name just because he was black), Bentley (we found him at dad's work site named Bentley Park) and Brownie (again, just because the color was mainly brown. Probably one of my favorites! Brownie was really furry and almost like a Lion that we would call her Simba or Nala from the Lion King).
I've been telling my mom if we can get a dog, but then I think she learned her lesson not to anymore. My siblings and I would always want to adopt a dog but then my mom would end up taking care of them. It's very different in the Philippines back then, dogs barely makes it inside the house and since we lived in the second floor of a complex we would need to go downstairs in our garage to play or pet them and of course feed them. Nobody would want to take their turn feeding the dogs and give them a bath and my mom would always end up doing it. Don't get me wrong, we all loved those dogs but we were to young to know the "responsibility" of having a dog.
Christmas 2011, we decided to host our mom's side of the family since we just started renting a house on August that would fit everybody, well, almost! My cousin brought along her dog Charlie (pictured) and my Aunt brought their dog Sherry (Shiba Inu, not in picture) which I never had a chance to take a picture of coz she was a lil feisty plus she was mostly locked in at my brothers room together with my cousin McCoy coz she kept fighting Charlie. Haha! It was so much fun having dogs in the house again. Those dogs added joy through the holidays and it felt like we were back home in the Philippines celebrating Christmas on top of having everybody in our house.
I can still feel/smell the dogs around the house. I recently discovered that I am allergic to pet fur/hair, I think. And whenever I get home and as soon as I open the door, I would start coughing and sneezing but its manageable. But I would love to have them over again. I have to admit, I kinda miss the barks and running around, most especially Charlie who would go to the door whenever we arrive home and run around up and down the stairs and at one time ate my dinner. LOL!
