Boo's 2nd Surprise

Yes, it's another surprise for Boo on his 21st birthday.

This guy deserves all the love that he is getting from his friends and family members.

I've met Boo's mom parents before. First was on his freshman year when the UW Men's Volleyball club team had a fundraiser event. It was very casual and short. I don't even remember what conversation we had at that time. And the second time was quite a surprise when I showed up to recent tournament here in Seattle and his mom was there together with his cousin. We had a longer chat this time and they even watched my match.

A week later she emailed me to inform me that she was planning on a surprise trip for Boo on his 21'st birthday. And of course, I instantlyagreed to participate. Easy task, all she asked was for some help to pack some of favorite clothes together with what she had "stolen" (in her own term) while Boo was on summer break at home.

The day came and Boo is 21. YAY!!! I had to work that day and had PT/Rehab session and rushed to his place to start packing his stuff while the family was out for dinner. . At first I had no clue what to pack but i definitely knew what his favotires was. Why? Because I like those favorites too and I probably had previews of those items before he purchased it. My numero uno Cambodian was contacted by his mom as well to take pictures of the precious event. So we tagged along from his house to the airport.

Boo was clueless of the whole thing. He thought that after dinner, his cousin Megan and his brother GF will follow so we can party that night and celebrate.Little did he know he will be flying to Malibu,CA at Pepperdine.

I packed tons of his favorite shoes and clothes and tried to fit it on two

Lululemon bags so gets to choose what to bring. I was specifically looking

for that yellow striped tank that I got him from RVCA while I was in San Francisco

but his mom already got it. Phew!

His mom also had an idea for some reading materials while he is on the plane.

I've asked couple of people close to Boo to write a card for his birthday.

This one was from Kane, a homemade birthday card craftly done and I'm pretty

sure the content was just as special.

definitely deserves the same.

Boo's Birthday Blanket

Boo's birthday was Sept. 22nd and I was getting really mad that my gift was back ordered so bad. I even paid $15 for a 2-day air shipping x-(.

Yesterday, my gift for him finally came in, just in time for us to see each other from his surprise birthday trip to Malibu,CA. I'll make a separate entry about it when I gather the pics from a friend who took pictures that night. I kinda wish it came in on time though so that I could have laid it out on his bed for him to see right when he comes back.

Anyways, I've heard of this website that makes a woven picture blanket and thought it would be a perfect gift for Boo. I looked into details and it was affordable and was something that he can use. I thought a blanket was a perfect gift coz I remember him talking about me having lack of "couch blankets/throws" at home. So maybe he would bring this whenever he comes over. Haha! When it came in, I immediately opened the package and laid it out on the pull out couch and it was a perfect size (60x50). I am thinking of ordering one for me, granted this is both our favorite pic together... Well at least one of them for me.

I got the woven blanket at Shutterfly. I'm definitely ordering another one :).

UW #blackoutUSC in a sweep

It was a good week to be a Husky it at least in my case a Husky fan. On Wednesday, the ladies of UW volleyball beat #4 UCLA in 5 sets and the UW Football team beat Stanford. And last night, #5 UW Volleyball sweeps #3 USC Trojans. 

The young team stayed composed as strong. Errors here as there have away points but they definitely came back strong in every rally. Krista Vansant was on fire the whole match and the Dawgs defense was on point and they definitely played a lot better compared to their match vs UCLA.

Kylin Munoz don't normally serve in rotations with their 6-2 offense line-up but she killed it on the service line finishing the match with 5 aces. Girl has a killer serve. Go Ky!!!

Sorry for the blurry pic but everybody was excited after winning the match. We have the best fans here in Washington. The Dawg Pack definitely pumps up the crowd every time. 

Hopefully the winning streak continues on their away matches. Home court advantage is definitely a huge factor in a match. But as strong as the look right now, I have faith that this girls will bring it!

Cherry Veric on Stylebible.ph

I love seeing people I know be successful on what they do. One example of Cherry.

I met Cherry back in college at Far Eastern University in the Philippines and we got pretty close throughout those years. Cherry has always been into art and designing. Often times, you would catch him playing on fabrics and just pinning them and it would look like a fabulous evening gown. Once in awhile, you can catch him doodling on a piece of paper playing on some designs.

When I found out that Cherry would be competiting on the Philippine version of Project Runway, I knew I had to find a way to watch it and Youtube was my solution. Although Cherry didn't win the competition, I knew that he would make it big one day. I almost jumped out of my sit when I saw a feature of him on Stylebible.ph.

I'm so excited for more of Cherry. The dresses that he makes for celebrities and on the runways are just exquisite and the taste is just amazing!

Love you Cherry and I miss you!

Korean cravings

Had my Korean craving fix (Bibimbap) last night at University District. Thanks to my Boo for a good call and choice of dinner and together with my Love. My Korean craving fix and spending time with two of the most precious people in my heart... my weekend is complete.
