Craving Fix: Chicken Macaroni Salad

I can't remember the last time I've had this. Nowadays, I would only get to eat some of these when I'm in a Hawaiian restaurant. But every place makes it different. I remember when I was younger that we would always have a Mac salad every special occasion and this one taste just the same like I remember, bringing back childhood memories.

Craving Fix: Cambodian Food

I've never had Cambodian food before and finally got to try some. My friend who I call Camby invited us to join him after playing open gym volleyball yesterday and I'm all up for it.

I didn't know what to expect but the only thing he told me is that it's mostly the same with Asian dishes. I was gonna play it safe get a grill sampler where all types of meat are just grilled... Same thing with a Hawaiian platter but ventured out a lol and order this "Loc Lac" which is a tender beef marinated steak cubes with garlic, cracked blacked peppers, and house spices pan sautéed with whisky to medium well, accompanied with lettuce, tomatoes and sweet onions and a side of lemon-black pepper vinaigrette. Phew!(got that from their menu site)

I posted an Instagram picture on my Facebook page and people immediately knew where I was. I guess I just never ventured my way there but it's a pretty popular place called Phnom Penh Noodle House in International District, Chinatown here in Seattle. It's a must try!!!

Ginger Halloween

Our good friend Judi came for a visit to party with us over Halloween weekend since he left for Pharmacy school to the east side of Washington. HoneyLove, Judi and I would hang out a lot on Thirsty Thursdays, volleyball and other kind of events.   Trying on our Ginger wigs at the store   Pre-funking at home

with the birthday boy GBC   We've been wanting to dress up for Halloween together in forever but it just never happens and this year was our chance. We ended up going to Value Village to venture on some costumes but hours later, there is no luck. Together with the Halloween celebrations, our friends GBC (Ginger Bear Cub) is celebrating his birthday at the place that we were going too. So we had a bright idea of dressing as "Gingers" for the night in dedication of our friend GBC.   We had a blast that night and it was so good to get to hang out with Judi once again.

Sunday Craving Fix

It was definitely a Sunday Craving Fix kind of day yesterday as I was able to indulge myself with some of my favorites that I haven't had in awhile.

Beef Brisket, Squid Ball and Wonton Noodle soup.

I used to eat this a lot when I lived a block away from Chinatown. But since we moved a lil further south last year, I barely get a chance to stop by for some yummy noodles. This reminds me of the noodle soups back home. Same taste... same craving fix. Funny how the lady server still works there after 10 years of living here in Seattle and 10 years of eating there.

Macaroons   Now this is major yum yum in my tummy. We went to our friends place right after having noodles at Chinatown and this tray of macaroons was basically waiting on us while being baked. It was so delicious!!! When I used  to work at the airport, I remember buying some of these but the only difference is the half chocolate dipped accent to it.  
Well there goes my Sunday Craving Fix. And there goes tons of extra pounds on me again. Oh well, it was so good.
