Quiambao-Altares Nuptials

FINALLY!!!
This post has been long way overdue.

One of my closest co-worker Rizza got married on August 5 at the Thornewood Castle down in Lakewood, WA. Such a romantic place not to mention its history.

I've known Rizza ever since I started working at the hospital (she got hired 2 months ahead of me) and its the "newbie" connection that we had that made us connect more than anybody else at work and of course her knowledge with the Philippine gay lingo got us even closer. Haha!

When I saw her post that she got engaged (of course on Facebook), I couldn't wait to see her at work and check out her ring.

I immediately told her that as a gift, I would do her make-up on her wedding even if at that time they didnt have a set date yet. I'ts been my passion to do make-up and even tried to make it as part time career. I love dolling up girls or even "girls" and seeing them look at themselves and be happy and be more confident.

I went to her dad's place where she stayed for the night since its a tradition for a couple not to see each other the night before their wedding. We were running late since she didn't get done on time after getting her hair done from the salon (i opted out from doing her hair since its not my expertise).

Here are some pics while we were getting ready taken by his brother Michael...

Such a busy girl that day and phone calls won't stop!

She wanted a really simple and matte look. She doesn't wear make up on a regular basis and we didn't want her to look overly done.

Funny story... this girl doesn't even know how to put on lipstick. I had to tell her to think about putting chapsticks on but she was still clueless. haha!

I look so gross!!! It was an early day and we were just rushing because she had to leave for pictorials and I have to get ready at home as well.

She hated how her hair turned out and I had to fix it a little. It was too flat and pulled away from her face so I gave it a lil lift.

I love this shot! They bought another engagement ring. She said Bogs wanted more formal than what she got when he just proposed to her.

I was telling her that this was supposed to be Eiryl's job and not mine. Fixing her and on her gown and veil but I loved helping out.

This was taken from outside her dad's place. It was such a pretty day and the natural lighting just brings out her natural beauty. OKkkkk!

Below are some sample pictures sent to her by the professional photographer for her wedding
Yuen Lui Studio
(somehow the quality of the picture is better on its original size so I apologize for the huge pics)

I love this candid shot. It shows how happy she was on her day.

I love her bouquet. It was made by her Uncle from Canada (i think) while we were doing her make up earlier in the morning.

I don't know why but I find this picture so seductive. Probably one of my favorite shots from the wedding.

These two shots are another fave! She looked so pretty and glowing.

Her gown was so simple but yet striking. Shows how simple she was but at the same time can command a room with her natural beauty.

Lil story... I've known Bogs since probably when he was about 16 years old or even younger. I met him and his sisters through a friends cousin who had her 18 years debut ball (think Quinceanera). And it's kinda weird that he is getting married now. Makes me feel old. Haha!

He looked really good in a suit which I never see him in one. Safe to say he is a dashing groom.

Bogs with the boys!!!

And Bogs with the Boyz!!!

Bogs with Tita (Auntie) wearing a dress in my favorite color!

The Bride and some of her BFF's!!!

The Bride with her Girls!

Ok, here is the sad part, I missed the ceremonies :(. NOPE! Not because I was late coz of me but Rizza asked me a huge favor to stop by their apartment to pick up some important documents that they needed. One of which is the alcohol permit which made me mad because all they have was champagne (which I don't drink because it gives me major hang over). But she is the Queen of the day and I have to make her happy on her special day. (You read that Rizza? The Queen. Make her happy) LOL!

The dramatic entrance in the garden.

The Ceremonies.

The KISS!

The SUPER HAPPY COUPLE!
Mr. & Mrs. Quiambao

Love these shots of the newlyweds! It looks so adorable!!!

the Bride's side of the family.

I couldn't find a shot of Bogs family but here is a pic of Tita and sisters Eiryl (my best gf) and Unique (3 girls on right side)

Rizza's dad giving out some speech. Bogs looked so scared. haha!

I loved the cake though I don't remember having some. Haha!
Again, simplicity was definitely her theme.

Back stage pass...
Here are two pictures when we tried out what was her ideal look for her wedding..

We went for the subtle look and just a clean face.

I took this pictures from my iPhone. Gotta love iPhotography! haha!

I absolutely love this shot! (tear)

Eiryl and Unique surprised the couple with a get away car.
Mini Cooper? Doing it in style.

I wish them the best of luck, a super long marriage and tons of kids! I'm so happy to be part/partially witness your bond and can't wait what the future brings the both of you!

not using xoxo,
ChaCha
