#CravingFix - Flan

Ever since I got back from my recent California trip I've been craving sweets, Flan to be specific. I blame it to my friend Junarta who is very well known to eating all kinds of sweets and desserts.

I had a chance to stop by and get one on Friday after getting my hair done. The salon that I usually go to has a Filipino restaurant at the same complex. So whenever I'm there, I stop by for some desserts and pastries.

Two days later on Sunday, I decided to play some open gym volleyball and the gang decided to eat after. Place of choice? Kawali Grill at Columbia City. At first I was just gonna get my craving fix but for lured into getting some Arroz Caldo (Congee) before hand. I thought everybody was full after all the food we ate but my friend Vka asked me to order some flan.

O M G !
Best Flan ever!!! They finished it with some Caramel and Chocolate syrup around it that gives the flan extra extra flavor. I can say I'm done with my cravings for now but I'm pretty sure this won't take that long for me to get me another round of it.

Damn you Junarta!!!

Bacon wrapped Asparagus & Corn

It is no lie to most people who knows me that i have no talent in the kitchen but its a different story with my youngest brother. He always saves my hunger and makes food for the family whenever mom can't.

Tonight, he made these Bacon wrapped Asparagus and some Corn on the side and it was DELICIOUS!!! I don't know what inspired my dear brother but my mouth started watering as soon as I saw this.

Thanks for saving another big gurl starvation once again Bro! Haha!

ps... I didn't finish it all. I could have though coz it was so good! Lol!

EMS week

I moved from Radiology to the ER today and this Tully's coffee kart was in front of usual desk. I totally forgot that they have been preparing for the Emergency Medical Transport week.

Later on, the grill and tent showed up in our Ambulance area...

And people started checking them out. It was funny watching a lot of employees was really curious and interested getting free hotdogs. Who doesnt right?

I wasn't able to take a picture of the bratwurst hotdog that I got but it was delicious.

I was standing outside later on and a vendor pulled in and said drive-thru service. It was really funny. Haha.

The hotdogs was really food and it was catered by Dante's Inferno Hotdogs. Check em out at Dante's Inferno Hotdogs

Lunch lady is BACK!

I totally forgot that I ordered food for today from the lunch lady at work. She's been gone for couple of weeks/month an we miss her food and cheap deals.

We are having Sinigang (tamarind soup) and rice today, one of my favorites. She stopped by the ER to deliver food. And as I check the bag, she wrote "SUPER GANDA" meaning super beautiful which is hilarious coz before she went on leave it was just Ganda and now it went to the next level. Lol! I don't think she remembers my name that's why she gave me a nickname. Haha.

Not only my nickname went to the next level but her price went a dollar higher. ($7/meal) which is still not bad. It's home cooked meal and it gets delivered to my desk. Very comfy!

I'm glad lunch lady is back!

I ♥ my Mom

Yesterday, my mom bought me baby carrots and light ranch to support my cutting down with food.


Today, my mom came home with some McDonalds and Diet Coke and even said hurry before 6pm comes. Right! 2 minutes before 6pm. LMAO!

Do you see consistency with her support? Lol!

Baked Potato day BUST!

Everybody at work are obsessed with our cafeteria Baked Potato bar or at least most of the ER staff does. I walked through the breakroom yesterday and saw one of the secretaries eating some baked potato and I immediately had to tell "Tina" (one of the RNs alter ego. lol) but the secretary in the breakroom told me "Oh! She already know and she even posted it on the whiteboard back there" (the whiteboard where we put pt's name and info". I had to grab my phone and witness it myself and take a picture and sure enough when I got back there, the sign was big enough for everybody to see. LOL!

It was crazy busy at work  yesterday and everybody was pretty backed up on taking their breaks. As soon as I had a chance to take mine, I looked at my phone and saw that its already 1:59pm. My legs automatically sprinted down the hallway and trying to make it to the cafeteria 2 floors down as fast as I can. Why? The chef spotlight/baked potato bar closes at 2 freakin PM! I saw the guy making it and asked but he already cleared out the area and all its left is the sour cream. After I placed the sign right on my face and got really MAD! (well deep inside at least)

So yah, there goes my fat rant! I'll make sure I wont miss it the next time. LOL!

MOO!!!

Been eating 2 of these every morning for 3 weeks now. I wonder if I would end up looking like the cow after couple of months... Don's answer that, its too late. LOL!
