As what I've mentioned before, I've followed Bern/Mudak/Bekimon's career since he started his YouTube videos. I'm really happy that he has grown coming from his YouTube Channel to being seen in the {somewhat} mainstream Philippine television.
Just recently Bern was nominated in the Globe Tatt Awards under the Video Slinger Category and I strongly believe he deserves this award.
What does this mean?
Globe Tatt awards is a contest by Globe (Philippines). 5000 nominees were cut down to 50. There are 10 categories and 5 finalists were left for each category. Bekimon is on the Video Slingers category... The category is for people who made a remarkable influence to the world through videos...
Why does he deserve the award?
Bekimon is the only one who has done a lot after he blew up the Internet and got into acting and hosting. He continues to make people laugh and entertaining people in the most positive way he can.
How to vote?

2. Look for the Video Slinger Category
3. Hit VOTE! (Voting open from August 10-24, 2011)
4. Retweet on Twitter, Repost on Facebook and spread the word in every social networking sites.

I have several reasons to be excited for this movie. This trailer just made me excited about what this movie has to bring. I'm gonna try to update this blog entry more as the days goes by. After all, this movie is not up until July 13th anyways, well at least in the Philippines.
Here are some reason I thought of as soon as I got done watching this trailer ...
♥ Melai & Jason - I think it's about time for them to front line their own movie. I have slightly followed them when they started in Pinoy Big Brother Double up in 2009. TV series here and there, special guesting and appearances together and separately and the likes. But this two are funny individually and what more together? I remember watching Youtube videos of them from PBB Double Up and they never made me stop laughing while watching them. These 2 are natural comedians and was born to make people laugh.
♥ Bern Josep Persia aka Bekimon - I've followed Bern aka Bekimon aka Mudak since his Youtube channel blew up in the internet. In the years of living in Seattle, I've missed speaking Gay lingo a lot and had barely people to talk to in this art of speech. Bern is hysterically funny and she lays down comedy from situations in an alternative way. On top of actually speaking to him and almost consistently answering tweets, facebook messages and whatnot, I feel like Bern has been true to all his fans and probably haters as well. Just like Melai & Jason, he started his career in the eyes of the many. Bern is definitely a great addition to this cast! Happy for you Bern!
♥ Bianca Manalo - Duh! She is a beauty queen that's how i started liking her. But after her reign and seeing her in appearances I thought she represents a normal girl who happens to have a crown on top of her head. As i watch her more on tv I just simply loved her in a kanto (street girl, street smart girl? lol) girl kind of way. hahaha! (hopefully that didn't sound bad.
♥ Joem Bascon - H O T ! Need I say more?
♥ Martin del Rosario - can't say much but I remember seeing him and his acting grow in MMK and I'm loving it
♥ Pokwang - she may have a lil role in the movie but either you love her or love to hate her she definitely knows how to please the crown but annoy her haters. She does what she do best which is entertaining and making people laugh and I'm a fan.
♥ Gina Pareño - Two words ... MAGIC TEMPLE! Nobody probably remembers this movie but I remember it just like it was yesterday. I was 14 years old when this movie came out and that's when i fell in love with her. She was so funny in the movie and put extra life to it. Telang Bayawak I ♥ U !
♥ Soxie Topacio - Old school comedy turned Director - GENIUS!
You might disagree on these things I have said but all of us has different taste and perception but I'm really looking forward for this movie and hopefully they play it here in Seattle.

This is a sad story but it's true. After my last posting about the Bekimon series, Mudak sent me a tweet

We all know that they have been going through a rough road with their friendship and somehow I has faith that they will fix this rough patches. I had my hopes up but then it's not looking good. Mudak finally closes the Original Junakis story and won't be back on his channel.
I honestly like their chemistry together and Mudak even admitted on his channel that it has been a hard past months for him and Junakis. I enjoy their videos just like other fans but then if all the negativity just forces them to separate ways then this might be the best for them.
I immediately replied to Mudak that whatever decision he makes I would still keep supporting his journey with his craft. Such a talented person and he is just beginning he's new life story.
I was so excited when Mudak finally announced who is behind the voice of Junakis. I was on vacation down in New Orleans so I didnt have time to check on my youtube subscriptions yet. And to my surprise, the Bekimon series on YouTube posted a video of Mudak and Junakis (Darwin Taylo) saying HI! to the fans. It got interrupted by another celebrity and I'm pretty sure he is famous but I dont know him. haha!
Junakis seems shy which is pretty cute! Im pretty sure the fans loves him more now that there's a face behind Junakis' voice! Hi Darwin!
I really like this 2 together. I enjoy what they do and hopefully they keep up with it! Enjoy!
Bekimon finally revealed who is behind "Junakis'" voice is. I've known who he was for the longest time after suspecting one of Bekimon's followers comment on YouTube saying that Junakis is this Indie Actor who WAS Bekimons BFF.
It is not fresh news to a lot of Bekimon aka Mudak's followers that he had a falling out with the original Junakis and later on reconciled. But lately Bern (Mudaks real name) has been really emotional with a lot of his facebook status updates and on twitter talking a lot about friendship.
I was in shock today while checking on my twitter that Bern finally came out and revealed who is the face behind that soothing voice of Junakis. His name is Darwin Taylo, an indie actor in the Philippines who also started in a call center just like Mudak before making it to the small screen/big screen.

Darwin Taylo is probably best know staring in the Indie film titled "Parisukat" playing a role of a transsexual.

All I'm hoping for is that whatever Bern aka Mudak aka Bekimon (phew!) would pass all this negativity that is going through his life. His career is looking so good right now that things like this shouldn't stop him from whatever he is doing. He has a lot of things ahead for him on top of starring on one of the highest rated shows in the Philippines and some hosting gigs.
Keep your chin up and soar thru your goals Mudak!!!

With the hype of the Bekimon videos with Mudak and Junakis all over Youtube, I found this article on spot.ph and find it interesting how Gay Lingo evolved since I learned the craft of speaking it.

I've been so addicted following this guy in YouTube. His name is Bern Josep (yosep) Persia, a photographer/call center agent from the Philippines. He had this brilliant idea of making a video series using the Filipino Gay Lingo that I grew up learning from friends and in the streets of the Philippines.
I must say I miss using/talking in a complete Bekimon mode. I attended 3 1/2 years of college in Far Eastern University which is very know for having a huge amount of LGBT students.
I get to conversate in Bekimon mode here in Seattle as well with my Filipino friends whom I've met ever since I've moved here. No to mention when I'm talking to my Bay Area and Filipino friends everywhere that I met through volleyball.
Bern or Mudak in his YouTube video series brings me back home. It's almost like the Filipino Gay Channel that I watch just like how I watch The Filipino Channel.
In his very young and new series, not all his videos are clear. Some are taken from a webcam, cellphone cameras and sometimes it's through a clear digital camera. But I see a good future to his channel if he keeps up a good work.
On this video, he teaches his son the Bekimon Alphabet or as he calls it "AlphaBecks". Its super funny!
I love how he has other characters like Grandma Mudak, Junior and the ever popular voice behind the camera, Mudaks son. Everybody is going insane how mysterious his character is with the bedroom voice that he has. I couldn't resist but got curious and even left a comment on of the videos asking about the son.
I would definitely follow this addicting series and hoping that he would post more interesting videos.
